The School of Applied Sciences, which had provided a four-year undergraduate education, was transformed into the Faculty of Applied Sciences by the Presidential Decree No. 5867 dated 25 July 2022, published in the Official Gazette dated 26 July 2022 and numbered 31904.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was established by the decision of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education dated 19 March 2025. The department started education in the 2025–2026 academic year.
The department, which operates under the Faculty of Applied Sciences, carries out its activities at the Mehmet Genç Complex located in the Kartal district of Istanbul.
